NUFS

Film this Thursday 18th October | Oct 15th 2007

Hey folks,

Filmhouse Bar

NUFS are going to be having our next meeting this Thursday (18th) at The Filmhouse’s Cafe Bar from 7.30pm for some drinks, then onto the film. This week’s film will be “And When Did You Last See Your Father, showing at 8.30pm. I’m not sure what the ticket price will be yet, as we’re still trying to talk the filmhouse into giving us a discount. Also, if you’d like to join the society, our membership is only £2.

Film Description: “Based on Blake Morrison’s best selling memoir, “And When Did You Last See Your Father?”, is ultimately a father son love story. From scholarly Blake’s fraught and some times humiliating teenage years growing up with a charismatic, overbearing and adulterous father; through to the ultimate grief of watching him die, as an adult and father himself, the story takes us on a heart-rending and often humorous journey in which Blake revisits his past, comes to terms with some difficult home truths and finally learns to accept that one’s parents are not always accountable to their children. Starring Jim Broadbent and Colin Firth.” Suggestion for what we see next? Email me at nufs@napier.ac.uk !Hope to see you there!
