We’re having our Xmas break as of now. We’ll be recommencing on Thursday 11th, more than likely at the Cameo at 6pm.

Hi folks,

NUFS are going to be having our next meeting this Thursday (14th) at the Cameo at 6pm.This week’s film will be Fargo at 6.30pm. Tickets are £2.

Film Description: What do you mean you need a film description?? It’s Fargo! Sighs… “Jerry Lundegaard is in a financial jam and, out of desperation, comes up with a plan to hire someone to kidnap his wife and demand ransom from her wealthy father, to be secretly split between Jerry and the perpetrators. Jerry, who is not the most astute of individuals, hires a couple of real losers from the frozen northern reaches of Fargo, North Dakota for the job. Then things begin to slip from bad to worse as Jerry helplessly watches on.”

As usual, we will try to decide which film to see next week at the meeting, but if you can’t make it on Thursday please do email suggestions to nufs@napier.ac.uk.If you’d like to be taken off our mailing list, please email me. I’ve noticed that I’m spamming hundreds of you, but only the committed few keep coming back.

Hey guys,

We promised we’d have an event at Brass Monkey (balls) and we’ve fulfilled that promise!

This Thursday (7th December) we’re having a DVD showing at Brass Monkey on Drummond Street at 6pm.

We’re inviting one and all to bring good DVDs you own and we’ll fight it amongst ourselves as to what we watch, or we’ll do it democratically with a show of hands, haven’t decided yet. There’s no theme on what to bring apart from yourselves, friends and good DVDs.

We’ll be meeting there at the bar at 6pm. Here’s a link about the bar itself. For those who aren’t familiar with Edinburgh, Brass Monkey is located on the Bridges , to get there, you can easily get any Lothian Bus that goes down the Bridges, eg the nos 3, 5, 30, 31, 33, 37, 47 and get off at the Festival Theatre.
